Integrating with Informz

Informz is a great stand-alone product. However, we recognize that some organizations need custom data integration. Informz has experience integrating with a variety of systems, allowing you to take email marketing and your campaigns to a whole new level.

We offer both automated batch processing for periodic or nightly data integration, as well as real-time application-level integration using our Web Service APIs.

The Informz API allows clients to synchronize subscriber information, automate the publication of mailings and retrieve mailing results via a web service.

How Can I Use the Informz API?

1.  Synchronize Subscriber Information

Subscriber Upload - This feature allows you to upload information from your database to Informz. It also allows you to modify information for the email recipients.  In addition, you can also use this to provide Informz with a list of people that should be removed from mailings, for example if they unsubscribed or opted out.

Subscriber Retrieval - This feature provides you with the flexibility to retrieve different types of lists, the profile of people within these lists, as well as specify the timeframe for the retrieval. The lists available are: Subscribed, Unsubscribed, Modified, Active, Receiving, Soft Bounced, Hard Bounced, Permanently Bounced, Blocked, Invalid Address, and Added Since.

2.  Automate Message Publication

Triggered Mailings - With this feature mailings can be published from either application. This feature is designed to automatically send emails to specific people when an event occurs from within the database. (e.g., if someone should download a whitepaper from your website, you might want to automatically send an email in a couple of days to follow up.)

3.  Retrieve Mailing Result Data

Mailing Names Sent Retrieval - This feature gives you the ability to retrieve the list of the mailings sent for a specified time period. 

Mailing Activity Retrieval - This feature can be used to obtain detailed information pertaining to a specific mailing, like opens, clicks, forwards, and delivered.
