THE CHALLENGE
- To eliminate the use of outside vendors for sending out emails, managing email lists and testing
- To decrease the amount of hours and money spent on sending out letters from the Convention Services Representatives by sending it via email as opposed to snail mail
- To be able to manage member email lists within their D3000 database in a more efficient manner
- To have co-workers send out their own mailings without having to know html
- To gain reporting metrics to analyze online efforts to improve communication and campaigns
THE SOLUTION
- Implemented Informz and created all emails in-house
- Since Informz is integrated with D3000, they were able to easily query their D3000 database and export data into Informz with a touch of a button. Informz syncs with D3000 so there is no need to upload lists each time as it is now automated
- The web team created templates which enabled the Convention Sales Representatives to go in and easily send out emails themselves without having to know html to create them
- Utilized the advanced reports within Informz and analyzed each campaign
THE RESULT
- Eliminated the need to outsource and rely on vendors to send out mailings, enabling them to be able to manage the entire process from start to finish in-house and no longer having to rely on vendor's time-frame
- Saved the web team 20 to 30 hours a month with the auto syncing of D3000/Informz integration, allowing other employees to pull their own target groups, send out their own emails and eliminating the time and money spent for sending out printed mailings that were now replaced with email follow up mailings
- They are now able to review reports after each published mailing and have been able to analyze each campaign to determine a way to improve the next one
