Sales Executive
The sales executive will engage in prospecting, qualifying, disqualifying and presenting solutions to prospects that have a need for email marketing services. The successful sales executive will have a history of closing business that meets or exceeds annual sales goals and will have a defined amount of qualified sales leads at all times as defined by the manager.

Core Responsibilities:
- Develop a prospecting/sales plan that will result in achieving sales goals and the development of a targeted pipeline for projecting annual growth
- Prospect for email marketing solution opportunities with for-profit and non-profit entities including associations, colleges, and universities
- Perform cold/warm calls to prospective clients and set discovery appointments
- Pre-qualify prospects according to sales plan, budget, and decision-making process
- Present products and services to qualified clients through product demonstrations
- Manage the sales process from prospecting through close, with a clear understanding of where they are in the process and a clear next step
- Present at tradeshows and conferences and must represent Informz professionally and effectively
- Build, maintain, and document all sales activities in Salesforce CRM software and daily/weekly “cookbook” of activities, pipeline; forecast
- Prepare for and participate in business development team status meetings
- Participate in educational meetings on product development, updates, and offerings
- Work with management team to improve sales presentation and product demonstrations
- Consistently meets productivity metrics mutually agreed upon with management team
- Must be able to travel locally, domestically and abroad at least 20% annually
Knowledge and Skills
- Must have ability to sell and close deals
- Must be goal oriented
- Demonstrate what a good fit customer looks like, what the capabilities and limitations are of the Informz services, and manage customer expectations to them
- Must be able to communicate effectively both formally and informally amongst all departments, prospective clients and current clients
- Must be able to deal with rejection and know when to move away from unqualified prospects and move on to real opportunities
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills
- Must be able to adapt sales tactics by applying knowledge within designated industry
- Must demonstrate ability to sell to executives and high level management
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Motivated and self-directed
- Technical expertise and knowledge of company products and services
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years in software or technology sales experience
- BS or MS degree in any discipline.
- Must be personable with clients and be an outgoing communicator
- Knowledge of CRM and opportunity management system, preferably Salesforce.com
- Cold calling experience
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs, contact management software, Photoshop, and HTML
- Ability to present products and services at tradeshows, speaking engagements, during demonstrations, and webinars

- Design, develop, and implement software quality assurance procedures that will support the testing and delivery of quality software applications
- Participate in problem-solving processes for resolving end-user support issues, test feasibility of changes, and assess workflow impact, usability, and style
- Participate in requirements and functional spec reviews of new features to convert them to comprehensive test specifications
- Ensure software development and support is aligned with testing best practices
- Develop tools to facilitate test-driven development and the automation of software testing
- Drive the definition and implementation of metrics to provide meaningful QA process improvements

- Experience with Agile methodologies a plus
- Experience with test-driven development and automated testing
- Experience with unit-test frameworks, version control, and build automation
- Experience with Web Services
